Creating my bike link |
|
|
|
I started by
designing the bike on paper. I did this so that I had a good idea of what I was
aiming for when I produced the final design on the computer. (link to the drawing) |

After designing the
bike on paper I then opened the program that I was going to use, Flash MX, to
produce the animated gif. |

I started by creating
the frame of the bike, I did this by using the line tool. I constructed the main part frame by
drawing two triangles, to create the handlebars I used the line tool again,
but this time I curved the line. I created the seat using the paint brush.
Below is how the frame looked when I had finished. |

After creating the
frame for the bike, I had to create the wheels. I did this using the oval
tool to get the shape of the wheel; I then used the line tool to draw spokes.
I then grouped the wheel and the spokes together and then to make the bike
look more like a cartoon I squashed the wheel. Below you can see what the
wheel looked like when it was complete. |

After creating the
wheel I then copied and pasted it onto a new layer so that I had two wheels
for the bike. |

After creating
everything that I need to produce the animated gif. I then started to animate
each part of the design. I did this by inserting key frames into the timeline
to start a motion, after doing this I had to right click on the key frame to
create motion tween, this allowed the design to be animated. I then inserted
key frames at primary moments in the animation to end the motion. This is how
the timeline looked when the whole animation had been finished. |

animated gif turned out. |
