These web pages were hard to produce because I used Dreamweaver which I haven't used before. My teacher said I should use this chance to try out different techniques that I might want to use in my eportfolio. I wanted to make my web pages look as though they are part of the school website. I copied the layout and colour scheme of the school website. I would have liked to use the same components but was not able to. The school website is managed by a company called e4Edu and they did not respond to my emails. I had most of the information I needed for this publication so I was able to concentrate on learning how to use the software. Although I have learnt a lot, there's still a lot of features that I don't know how to use. The hardest thing to do was to build the navigation bars and get the nested tables right so that they looked OK in the browser. Mr Kirkham was my test user. He is a member of the school PTA. He made sure that all the links worked and that the information was well presented. I am very pleased with this publication. I think it looks very professional. I showed it to the Principal who said the pages provided useful information for parents. |
